Botawana - With over 17% of Botswana's land protected as a National Park, the country is one of the last remaining unspoiled safari destinations. Located in the center of Africa, Botswana is land-locked and although two thirds of the country lies in the tropics, the climate is dry.

Kenya - Safari is Swahili for "journey" and it is in Kenya where safaris began. Magnificent national parks and reserves brim with wildlife. Lush forests, breathtaking mountains and tribal cultures plus the amazing variety and quality of bird life make Kenya a fascinating destination. The 500 kms of golden beaches of the Kenyan Coast invite the visitor to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It is perhaps the wildlife more than anything that draws visitors to Kenya, boasting some of the finest reserves in Africa - and visitors will be thrilled at the sight of lions, leopards, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, gazelle, cape buffalo, hippo, rhino - and hundreds more.

Namibia - From its rugged mountains, dense woodlands and the world's oldest desert, Namibia is a land of contrasts and diversity. Swakopmund, the country's favorite resort area, is complete with a full entertainment complex. The impressive sand dunes of Sossusvlei are a must for any visitor.

But it may be Etosha National Park for which Namibia is most famous. The diversity of wildlife and the ease with which game is found in the park draws wildlife enthusiasts year after year. And, with 392 species of birds identified to date, Etosha is a birdwatcher's paradise. The following tour will spend part of its time in this fascination region of Africa.

South Africa - Often referred to as "a world in one country", South Africa offers an extraordinary variety of leisure opportunities in a country where the scenery is magnificent, the climate sunny and mild and the hospitality legendary. From modern cities to moonscape deserts. From lush farmlands to Table Mountain, white sandy beaches to private game reserves. From picturesque wine lands in the Cape to the fantasy resort of Sun City - South Africa has it all.

Tanzania - Tanzania is most famous for the vast Serengeti National Park, stretching out over almost 13,000 sq. kms. But there is so much more to this most fascinating country. Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site, is home to a whole host of wildlife, which make the crater floor their natural home. The Lake Manyara. region is best known for tree climbing lions. Ruaha and the Selous in the southern part of Tanzania are less known, but spectacular with abundant game. To the coast, the spice island of Zanzibar is a jewel worth a visit. Possibly the most well known sight of all, is the snowcapped tip of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Zambia - With over 17% of Zambia's land protected as a National Park, the country is one of the last remaining unspoiled safari destinations. Located in the center of Africa, Zambia is land-locked and although two thirds of the country lies in the tropics, the climate is dry.

Zanzibar - The very name Zanzibar conjures up the scent of cloves and spices and visions of an exotic island with a turbulent history. The islands of Zanzibar lie only 20 kms off the mainland of Tanzania and consist of two islands, Pemba and Unguja - popularly referred to as Zanzibar.

The history of Zanzibar goes back pre- century and has always been associated with the slave trade, Much of this history is still evident in the historic buildings which are now being restored. There are many tales of the slave trade, but in fact slavery in Zanzibar only started after the 8th century.

In the later part of the 19th century, Zanzibar became an important stopping-off point for vessels plying the Indian Ocean and developed as a major business centre for cloves and ivory as well as slaves.

Zanzibar is now a peaceful island wit its fascinating history well documented and of much interest to the visitor. There are excellent hotels both in and close to the Stone Town and on superb beaches which line both the west and east coast of the island.

The Stone Town A fascinating historic town with narrow streets, superb carved Arab doors and very few cars! Here you can explore the winding paths, looking for antiques, stop off for a cold drink in a modern bar and visit the beautifully restored Dispensary in the Old Fort. A guided walking tour is highly recommended.

The Eastern Beaches Beautiful golden beaches, modern hotels, and friendly, welcoming people make the east coast a perfect quiet getaway. Try deep sea fishing, scuba diving, sailing, or just relax and enjoy the peaceful ambience. Call us for a custom package to this exotic locale.
