Botawana Safaris are fun, exciting and offer you plenty of great photographic opportunities.

Over 17% of Botswana's land area has been set-aside as national parks and game reserves. From the lush green of the Okavango Delta in the north to the red desert dunes in the south, great areas of wilderness have been carefully preserved to offer visitors an opportunity to experience nature at its very best; to feel a sense of solitude; to see an incredible variety of wildlife species and to enjoy the prolific birdlife. Within the national parks and game reserves, areas have been set aside in which visitors may camp. Many of these areas have only the most basic of facilities or are completely undeveloped, whilst other areas have formal ablution blocks. Although the national road networks between main centres are tarred and in first class condition, many of the access tracks that lead to the parks and reserves, and many of the tracks within the protected areas, are rough and sandy, requiring the use of a 4x4 vehicle.

 Your journey begins today as you depart on your overnight flight to Johannesburg.
 
 
 Day 2 Arrive Johannesburg
 Arrive in Johannesburg late this afternoon. You will be met and transferred to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is at leisure.

 Day 3 Johannesburg-Maun-Okavango Delta
 Head north this morning as you fly across the Kalahari Desert to Maun, Botswana, gateway to the extraordinary Okavango Delta eco-system. Continue by light aircraft to your camp on the western edge of the Moremi Game Reserve. Enjoy a game activity and dinner this evening.

 Deluxe Xigera Camp is situated on ”Paradise Island’ in the Moremi Game Reserve and is in an area that has permanent water all year long. Today, choose from a variety of game viewing activities by vehicle, foot or mokoros.

 Day 5 Okavango Delta North
 This morning, transfer by light aircraft to your land-based camp in the furthermost reaches of the Okavango Delta. An intimate camp, Duba Plains has access to large islands, flood-plains and marshes, offering a diversity of game viewing experiences.

 Day 6 Okavango Delta North
 Wildlife at Duba depends on the water levels in the area. You may choose from game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, mokoro excursions and walking safaris today.

 Day 7 Okavango Delta-Chobe
 A light aircraft flight takes you to your last stop in Botswana today, within the heart of Chobe National Park. Chobe is home to the largest concentration of animals in Botswana ­ especially elephant. Enjoy game viewing activities later this afternoon.

 A full day provides ample opportunities for game viewing in Chobe National Park.

 Day 9 Chobe-Victoria Falls
 Bid farewell to the unspoiled wilderness of Botswana today. Transfer by light aircraft to Kasane, where you will clear customs and immigration formalities and continue by air transfer to Livingstone Airport. Here you will be met and transferred to your luxurious lodge along the Zambezi River.

 Cross the border into Zimbabwe today, where the highlight of your day is a visit to the superb Victoria Falls. Later this afternoon, you might opt for a relaxing sundowner cruise along the Zambezi.
